A Message From Our Pastor

We want to thank you for visiting our website. We invite you to come and discover what being a part of the First Baptist Church Family is all about.

We are a church that believes in Family and Community. Sulphur, Oklahoma in the heart of the Arbuckles is a community of 5,000 set in a county with about 12,000. We believe that God's desire is for us to reach out to our community with hope for the hopeless, help for the helpless, and the hand of fellowship for all of those who need a church family. Our desire is for every believer to be involved to a church family.

Our ministries reflect who we are. We seek to minister to men, women, couples, senior adults, middle adults, young adults, youth, children, and preschoolers. We provide opportunities for everyone to become relationally connected to the Lord Jesus, our church and each other, in a meaningful way.

First Baptist Church provides

1.        Worship- Our worship services are alive and uplifting. They will give you an opportunity to be encouraged, challenged, and convicted. They will help you to prepare for the battles that we all face each and every week.

2.        Discipleship- These small group times will do much to help believers grow in their spiritual walk with the Lord. Being faithful to a small group also helps to establish meaningful relationships with other believers who are growing and maturing spiritually.

3.        Fellowship- Fellowship as described in God's word can only happen between fellow believers. We set aside times for the Family of God to play and enjoy the life that we have been given with all age groups in mind.

4.        Ministry- First Baptist has a multitude of ministries for all ages of people. Within our ministries we want to help everyone in need that we can, but we also want to help each church member find their area of service to our Lord.

5.        Evangelism- Kingdom growth occurs when God moves and His people act out their faith. We target a number of efforts each year to reach out to the unchurched in our community as well as an ongoing effort to draw the unchurched to the saving power of God.

God is moving in the hearts of our people and in our services. New people are joining our ranks every week. Come and be a part of what God is doing in the Sulphur area. Come and join a group of people who worship the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.

In Christ
Bill
