We want to thank you for visiting our website.
We invite you to come and discover what being a part of the First Baptist Church Family is all about.
We are a church that believes in Family and Community. Sulphur, Oklahoma in the heart of the Arbuckles is a community of 5,000 set in a county with about 12,000. We believe that God's desire is for us to reach out to our community with hope for the hopeless, help for the helpless, and the hand of fellowship for all of those who need a church family. Our desire is for every believer to be involved to a church family.
Our ministries reflect who we are. We seek to minister to men, women, couples, senior adults, middle adults, young adults, youth, children, and preschoolers. We provide opportunities for everyone to become relationally connected to the Lord Jesus, our church and each other, in a meaningful way.

Leaving a Legacy is something that most all people consider at some point in their lives. My wife can tell whether or not I have my usual breakfast in the morning. I arise significantly before her and by the time that she arises I am gone, but my oatmeal pan, bowl and spoon are in the sink with water standing in the bowl inside the pan which is full of water. I leave my mark on the kitchen, although not a big mess the tracks are obvious, “Bill has been here” recently!
In the old westerns the bad guys always tried to rub out the tracks that their horses made so the posse could not follow them to their hideout. Sometimes even the good guy falsely accused used the old tree limb to rub out his tracks so that he could not be followed. Our lives leave tracks and the tracks that we leave are how we act and relate to others. Quite frankly some leave a big mess. Some leave tracks going the wrong direction so that those following fall into the same traps. Some leave behind confusion, selfishness, hatred, and anger while others leave behind love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, etc. It is important often for every professed follower of Christ to check and see what kind of tracks one is leaving behind, and where those tracks will lead those who follow them. See you Sunday for week 6 of One Month to Live!
