Senior adults play a vital role in the family atmosphere at Sulphur First Baptist Church. We believe there’s no time or place for retirement in our Christian journey. Seniors teach preschool and children, reach out to our homebound members and sing together in our Senior Adult Choir (*SASO Choir). You’ll find senior adults active and ministering in virtually every area of Sulphur First Baptist Church. Staying active and using the gifts and abilities that God has given us is the reason our First Baptist Church Senior Adults grow together and in the Lord. Our senior adult family is fantastic, and we get together often. Each month we gather for a time of fellowship and a program planned especially for Senior Adults at our SASO Luncheon. We enjoy food, fellowship, fun and special guest speakers. Join us on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:30 for this exciting time. There are also several opportunities for Senior Adults to travel together. We try to schedule a day trip each month. These include trips to various attractions throughout our state as well as trips just to get together and fellowship over an evening meal in a neighboring town. Each Spring and Fall we take an extended 4-5 day trip. We have attended Senior Celebrations in Natchez, Mississippi, Pigeon Forge, North Carolina, Branson Missouri and Glorietta, New Mexico.
